Bike ramp. Small beach surrounded by private beaches. Not too much room, but not too crowded. Rock jetties. Stairs down to beach. Small waves. Nice view. Good sand.
A small beach nestled among private residences, Atlantic Avenue Beach is quiet picturesque. Just down the road from Allens Harbor, this beach is quiet, not too crowded and has a great view of Nantucket Sound. Rock jetties break up the landscape and also help define the boundaries between public and private areas.
Tips:
Parking is limited, so get there early or find alternate means of transportation. A steep stairway leads down to the beach. If you're not good with stairs, this may not be the beach for you.
