Cape Cod National Seashore
Often recognized as one of the top 10 on various lists of America's best beaches, Coast Guard Beach is breathtaking. Limited parking here for residents only. Park at the Little Creek parking lot on Doane Road and take the free shuttle to the beach. Shuttle runs every 5-10 minutes, drops off at beach - short walk after. Drop off and pick up at the beach is prohibited. Very popular. Large, lots of space. Boardwalk runs right to beach - good for disabled access. Big waves. Seals really close. Volleyball. Lots of boogie-boarders. Soft sand. Nice bike rack. Lots of teenagers.

Part of the National Seashore, Coast Guard Beach in Eastham is perfect example of the glory of Cape Cod beaches. This expansive beach has beautiful dunes, marshlands and a fabulous view. Though popular, if you are willing to walk a little you can easily find a spot not inundated with towels and umbrellas. Large waves make this a great spot for boogie-boards and surfing. Watch for the seals.

Tips:

There is very limited parking for Eastham residents only at the beach. The shuttle runs every five to 10 minutes. But if parking for the shuttle at a peak time, be prepared to wait in line. After arriving at the beach there is a short walk past the bathhouse to get to the sand area.
