Town: Cape Cod National Seashore
Address: Marconi Beach Road, Wellfleet, MA
Phone: 508-349-3785
The beach is part of the Cape Cod National Seashore. The Marconi Station has sweeping views of the Atlantic and Cape Cod Bay and Outer Cape. The Marconi Area obtained its name from the famous Italian wireless inventor, Guglielmo Marconi, who from here in January 1903 sent a message of greetings from Theodore Roosevelt, the President of the United States, to King Edward VII of the United Kingdom, marking the first transatlantic radio transmission originating in the United States

Marconi Beach, a majestic piece of the National Seashore located in Wellfleet, is a huge beach with some major dunes. Large waves make it great for surfing outside of the guarded beach area. Flat expanses of sand make it easy to find a comfortable spot, and even though its popular, finding a good spot is never hard. Parking rarely fills during late June and July. Fills occasionally in August, moderate turnover. Huge beach. Good for handciapped until stairs down to beach. Attendent on duty. Huge

Stairs lead down to the beach. If you have trouble with stairs, this may not be the beach for you.
