| Two beaches - one is operated by the town, the other by the Cape Cod National Seashore. The latter is the only one with a lifeguard. Surfing. Bicycle trails. Popular family sun-bathing destination. Volleyball matches. Sandbars run along the beach. |
| Truro offers some of the most secluded and beautiful beaches on Cape Cod and Head of the Meadow is no exception. The Cape Cod National Seashore half of the beach is the only one with a lifeguard. Surfing is allowed outside the main beach area, and there's a pleasant two-mile Head of the Meadow Bicycle Trail behind the dunes. The glacial cliffs/sand dunes of the Outer Cape reach their highest point in Truro, exceeding 100 feet in some spots. Miles and miles of continuous sand beaches remain large |
| At the end of Head of the Meadow Road, the road splits into two lots - one the Seashore beach, the other the town. |
