If not, a large town parking lot is close by at the town pier. Swimming pleasant only around high tide. You can park for free at the small lot by Great Island on the bay. Small. Hard sand. Fairly long. Warm water. Very shelly - find all sorts of speciments. Boats by pier. Parking lot - medium. Residential/commercial. Not secluded. Yoga on the beach. Gross - dead fish. Bike rack. |

| Mayo Beach overlooks Wellfleet Harbor and the not-so-distant Breakwater Light. This beach is pretty long, but loses a lot of space during high tide. However, at low tide there isn't much water to swim in, and the sand can get muddy and shelly. The water is calm and warm and the beach is bordered by beach grass.
