Very small. Shady. Clear, warm water. Pine needles. Must walk through water to get to beach area. Good for kids. Small parking - attendant on duty. Very pretty. Bike rack.
A gorgeous pond beach just down the road from Cahoon Hollow, Great Pond Beach offers warm, clear water fabulous for a day with the family or friends. The small strip of sand does not hold too many people, but does have a few protruding tree branches great for drying those damp towels. Sunbathers won't like this beach as the greenery provides mostly shade over the sandy area.
Tips:
Long, windy stairs lead down to the pond area and visitors must then travel through water to reach the sand. This may not be an ideal beach for all visitors.
