Pond beach. Fishing. Kayaking. Plenty of parking. New bathroom facility. Roped-off swimming area. Accessible with resident and seasonal-resident stickers. No lifeguards after mid-August.
Great for the kids, Hamblin Pond is a small beach with a roped off swimming area. It's not too popular, so it makes for a nice, calm day. There is a nice shallow area where you can bring kids who are not quite ready for open-ocean swimming. Plus there is plenty of parking, and a bathroom facility. Look for the flock of friendly ducks (and ducklings!).
Tips:
Hamblin Pond can be a little tricky to find. When traveling north on Route 149, make a left just before the Marstons Mills Cemetery. This is the entrance to the pond beach.
