Small beach and parking area. Private beaches on either side. Divided by small creek. Handicapped accessible. Crowded. No attendant. Cleaner sand. Calm water.
Herring Brook Beach has a small sandy area divided by a small brook easily crossed on foot. It's a great spot for children to play, both in the brook and the tidal pools created at low tide. The water is calm and the sand is nice and clean. Herring Brook can get a little crowded, though, so get there early to stake out a spot.
Tips:
A plastic mat is used to even out the sand and act as a partial boardwalk for disabled access.
