In-season hours, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. For Barnstable residents only. Limited parking. Medium-sized beach, but good amount of room. Not too crowded. Calm water. Roped-off swim area. Great view. Private beaches on either side. No attendant. Very short walk to beach. Few steps down to beach, ramp on one side. Some boats. No lifeguard after mid-August.
Loop Beach, a good-sized beach overlooking Nantucket Sound, has a nice atmosphere for any kind of beachgoer. Even though it's surrounded by private beaches, there's plenty of room for the Barnstable residents that frequent the beach.
Tips:
Parking is limited, so get there early or find alternate means of transportation.
