Grills. Lots of kids. Medium parking. Darker sand. Boats. Bike rack. Nice view of water. Very open. Around a lot of traffic - so not so peaceful. Lot right off beach. OK for handicapped access.
Contrary to most pond beaches, Oyster Pond is very open, sunny and bright. Popular with children and their families, its sparking waters are inviting on particularly hot summer days. Be prepared to have a not-so-peaceful day at the beach, though, as kids can get noisy, and so can the traffic on the surrounding roads.
Tips:
There's a fair amount of parking, but it's free and the beach is popular so it's best to get there early or find alternate means of transportation.
