Very small parking. Attendant on duty. Small beach. Surrounded by private beaches. Lots of boats/kayaks. Nice view of bay. Fair amount of sand.
Overlooking Wellfleet Harbor, Powers Landing is a small beach popular with local residents. An extension of Mayo Beach, it has many of the same qualities. Smaller at high tide, but less swimming room at low, Mayo Beach can get muddy and shelly when the tide is out. A gorgeous view of the harbor makes up for some of this beach's lesser qualities.
Tips:
Parking is limited, so get there early or find alternate means of transportation.
