I love to eat at Capt'n Scotts! The quality of the food, the freshness of ingredients, the friendly staff and the delicious tastes are top notch every time I go there.

Captain Scotts Restraunt
This used to be our favorite restraunt, but now it is so bad we do not plan on eating there again. The last time we ate there we waited forever for the food, and when it came the main course was over done, and the french fires were so greasy that when a fork was placed into them, grease pooled out around tht fork. This was our third time being dissapointed and our final.

Poor service on two recent occasions has caused us to reconsider Capt Scot's as one of our comfort places to eat. Food is usually OK but has recently been just OK!

This place was a "must go there" establishment back in the 80's and 90's. Since the son took over it has been nothing short of a disappointment. Horrible food, bad service. So sad to see such a great old favorite completely fall apart.

Excellent for lunch, good for dinner too, gets crowded in the summer & then it can be slow. We go here often & like it a lot. Excellent seafood stew! Nice patio out back in the warm weather.

Decent food, good menu, clean restaurant, good prices, an attentive, pleasant staff. It is a good value for what it is; a non pretentious, reasonably priced everyday village eatery.

Enjoy there open kitchen so you actually witness how fresh the food is , with peacefull atosmphere with friendly service , had the clams very sweet and fresh , it was the special of the day what a deal with this ecomomy .

My wife and I decided to try capt. scott's , the inexpensive specials intrigued us. She had the pot roast, I the baked scrod. Her pot roast had grizzle , the portion couldnt have been 5 oz. and it tasted like boiled not braised beef. mediocre at best. The scrod I doubt was cod, more likely pollack and 3-40z at best, dry and mushy with a tinge of odor to it. Granted we didnt expect much for 7 dollars, but what we had was garbage. We will not be back for a second try.

Poor quality, small portions. The open kitchen means you smell the awful fryalator the whole time. Weird goop for dipping bread is awful. The dessert, the chocolate cake (they were out of my first choice) was dry and hard and served with off-tasting ice cream, for $7.50. Just the worst meal ever.

Pretty much a local's place with a cute atmosphere. Not as good as it used to be. Don't try the calamari appetizer - soogy and disappointing. The lobster dinner ($13.95) was a great value. The pot roast was good too.

Whoever said that the portions are huge must have gone on a REALLY good day! Every time I have ordered fish and chips I'm always surprised at the teeny portions unusually one piece of fish and yucky fries! I tried getting pasta the next time I went in and it was over-cooked, really mushy, gross! What a disappointment. Too bad, because it's cute inside. I won't go back.

I see some comments how wonderful the food is...they must have gone the same day. I've gone three times and each time the food is just terrible. The french fries are so greasy even the kids won't eat them. The food arrived semi-warm and it wasn't "fresh" as advertised. I used to love this restaurant, but they must of changed chefs or just don't care anymore. Either way...it stinks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
